Hey iFest Fans,

The future of our economy may be uncertain, but one thing is for sure: iFest is always a great value no matter what! And that's true now more than ever as we are holding steady on a low, low price for buying your tickets in advance.

Fans don't wait  to buy an Early Bird Discount Ticket for the bargain price of only $10 each! You do the math: 4 days, 13 stages, 265 performances, just 10 bucks a day...that's what we call fiscal responsibility! Don't miss the Ohio Players, Los Lobos, Hugh Masekela, Mavis Staples, Marc Broussard, Marcia Ball, Flaco Jimenez, Step Rideau, CJ Chenier, Cherish the Ladies, Blaggards, Plena Libre, plus hundreds more! Tickets are available at www.ifest.org or at H-E-B stores.

But hurry this cheap ticket offer is only available through Monday, April 13. On April 14, tickets will go up to $15 each. Don't say we didn't warn you.  Still an amazing price for all the fabulous entertainment but why wait to buy? Go ahead and save yourself an extra five bucks.

Weekend Ticket Packages
iFest fans have the exclusive opportunity to pick up a special weekend pass with four tickets, reserved parking, free munchies and free iFest gear for only $60 per weekend! But supply is very limited, and you know these babies will fly off the shelf. So go ahead and invest a few bucks today in your entertainment future, then mark your calendar for iFest 2009 (April 18-19 & 25-26 in downtown Houston!).

Get Ready for iFest
Get your iFest Official Guide inside the Zest in this Sunday's Houston Chronicle. The guide will tell  you everything you need to know to get ready for iFest. Want to see a sneak peek of all the cool stuff at iFest this year? Check out the KPRC-Channel 2 TV special on this year's festival. Houston International Festival Presents Ireland will air at 6:30pm on Saturday, April 11 and again at 10:30am on Sunday, April 12.

2009 Literary Program
iFest is indeed Houston's Official Celebration of Culture and the Arts...but really iFest is also a SMARTS Festival. Case in point: all of the sweet literary artists and intelligentsia that flock to the Festival each year. This year you can get your music on, while holding true to your brainiac leanings by bragging about your time at the Literary Ireland Exhibit. You can hear the works of Irish authors and samples of the very interesting Gaelic Language in different listening stations along with movies and literary readings throughout the day.  The 2009 literary arts lineup looks awesome; we'll save you a seat. Check out the schedule for the daily readings.
