On Saturday night, April 21, the 2012 Houston International Festival honoring Argentina is proud to present "Eternal Tango," featuring the Hector Del Curto Orchestra and Dancers, performing at the Hobby Center's elegant Sarofim Hall at 8 p.m.
The concert marks the beginning of an annual tradition, expanding the festival's on-site presentation of the music of the honored nation to a featured showcase at the Hobby Center. Hector Del Curto is considered to be the finest bandoneon (Argentine accordion) player of his generation. He has played with the legendary Astor Piazzolla, Pablo Ziegler, and other greats of Argentine tango, and his orchestra and dancers include current and former members of the touring production "Forever Tango." Tickets for the concert, as well as the pre-concert and post-concert receptions, are available here.
