The annual double weekend event to present global hit makers and musical legends including Bootsy Collins, Diogo Nogueira, The Wailers and Aaron Neville
Houston, TX, January 16, 2013 - Celebrating its 43rd year, the Houston International Festival is pleased to announce the performance lineup, representing a broad collection of genres from across the globe. The annual event will include five stages of music, dance, cultural performances in addition to international cuisine, fine wine and beer. The festival will take place on April 20-21 and April 27-28 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Downtown Houston.
“Our lineup this year will showcase a wide variety of South American entertainment, with an emphasis on our featured country Brazil. It will again be a celebration featuring music from our honored country, as well as funk, reggae, R&B, jazz, zydeco, blues,Latin rock and cumbia/salsa and much more,” said Rick Mitchell, Director of Performing Arts.
